Aidea was selected as one of the Top 5 firms to compete for the design of the new Senate building in the Philippines, making us the only local practice among an esteemed group of international design firms. The competition saw 40 firms register their interest, including 16 local and 24 foreign companies. The five finalists chosen for the competition were AECOM, Pelli Clarke Pelli Architects, Henning Larsen Architects, Leeser, and Aidea.
According to Panfilo Lacson, Chairman of the Senate Accounts Committee, the shortlisted firms were selected based on several criteria, including the technical and professional capabilities of their key personnel, relevant experience, years of operation, expertise in green building design, identity, uniqueness, and the accolades and citations they have earned.
