Rooted in the ambition to create a self-sustaining urban enclave, DGT blends residential, commercial, and recreational spaces into a cohesive, people-centered environment. Located in Davao City, a fast-growing metropolis in the southern Philippines, this 2.5-hectare residential
condominium development is part of a 22-hectare master plan. Designed as a “township within a township,” it balances urban convenience with natural serenity, fostering an ecosystem where essential services, green spaces, and social hubs are seamlessly integrated.
Shaped in response to a rapidly evolving world, the design of DGT prioritizes adaptability, sustainability, and a deep connection to its urban context. Developed during the global pandemic, the project was guided by six core principles: healthy living, active placemaking, modular planning, design construction, a connected community, and intelligent building. The result is a forward-thinking residential environment that meets contemporary needs while ensuring long-term resilience.
A vibrant streetscape, accessible wellness facilities, and adaptable living spaces define the experience at DGT, allowing residents to shape their surroundings to fit their lifestyles. A ground-level retail strip ensures walkability, while a dedicated health and wellness level promotes well-being. Expansive landscaped spaces encourage outdoor activities and social interactions, reinforcing a sense of community. Flexible unit configurations offer personalization, allowing residents to create spaces that evolve with their needs.
DGT embraces intelligent building systems, sustainable materials, and a human-centered approach to design, ensuring a living environment that is both efficient and enriching. Smart technologies enhance energy efficiency and security, while eco-conscious construction practices minimize environmental impact. Integrated wellness and social spaces cultivate a connected and vibrant community, aligning with the project’s vision of a modern, sustainable urban lifestyle.
Landscaped throughout, DGT’s communal gardens form a network of green “rooms” that frame seating nooks, outdoor workstations, and children’s play areas. Native planting palettes and bioswales manage stormwater on-site, while rooftop orchards and beehives supply a small-scale urban farm program. Seasonal workshops—from vegetable-gardening tutorials to honey-harvest celebrations—anchor residents in the rhythms of nature and each other.
Sustainability is woven into every decision. High-performance façades incorporate external sun-shades and operable windows to optimize daylight and natural ventilation, reducing reliance on mechanical systems. Rooftop photovoltaic arrays, heat-recovery chillers, and an on-site greywater treatment plant support ambitious energy and water-use targets.
DGT is pursuing both WELL and LEED certifications, signaling its commitment to environmental stewardship and occupant health. Finally, an integrated smart-building backbone connects everything from HVAC and lighting to an app-based building concierge. Predictive maintenance alerts and real-time energy dashboards empower residents and facility managers alike.
