Geometry and Grace

Rising above the edge of Milwaukee’s East Side, Park Lafayette Towers is a sculptural residential development that pairs striking architectural form with contextual sensitivity. Composed of two glass-clad, triangular towers flanking a row of traditional red-brick townhouses, the complex anchors itself to its lakefront site while offering a contemporary reinterpretation of urban living. The project comprises over 270 units across two 20-story towers and 10 townhomes, supported by retail spaces and structured parking.

Aidea was engaged to deliver Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) services—modeling, coordination, and documentation support—to ensure the smooth realization of this multifaceted development. Working alongside the lead design team, Aidea generated comprehensive 3D models that enabled precise alignment of architectural and structural components across the towers and townhouse block. Detailed construction documents were extracted directly from these models, facilitating coordination across trades and helping to maintain clarity during execution.

Aidea’s integration into the project team allowed for a seamless digital workflow, aligning with the design intent while anticipating potential challenges during construction. By adopting a model-centric methodology early in the process, we were able to address issues such as façade complexity, interlocking geometries, and parking system integration before they reached the site. The result was a streamlined delivery process that preserved architectural integrity while supporting buildability. Through its role as VDC partner, Aidea supported the project’s ambition to merge sculptural modernism with urban coherence. The towers’ crystalline facades, irregular window placements, and contrasting brick bases posed modeling and documentation challenges that were resolved through digital precision. By enabling tight coordination and early issue resolution, Aidea’s contributions helped realize a landmark residential destination that reflects both technical rigor and design ambition.
