World Plaza is a LEED Gold-Certified, 27-storey office building located in the premier business district of Bonifacio Global City. The project is the second in a series of collaborations between Aidea and foreign consultant Gensler for Philippine developer, Daiichi Properties.
The building features sustainable work environments and numerous eco-friendly features within a bold yet timeless design framework. The tower sits on a parking and retail podium and rises to contain 18 levels of typical office layout, a penthouse level, and a mechanical deck floor. A double-glazed, fully unitized curtain wall and insulated high-performance glass maximize the use of natural lighting while inhibiting unwanted heat. World Plaza has achieved above-standards structural performance and reliability with an emphasis on mitigating the effects of wind and earthquake forces.
Aidea built a highly detailed VDC model that dovetailed all data from the international project team and consultants. This comprehensive platform provided the basis for dynamic mobile collaboration among the team of experts. Visualization kept all project members on the same page at all stages of work, while Aidea’s in-house clash detection add-ons guaranteed that any design conflicts were resolved even prior to the groundbreaking on the site. Aidea’s VDC methodology proved an absolute necessity for the synthesis of valuable data on each step of the building process and all details required to ultimately realize the building.
World Plaza was awarded Best Office Development in the Philippines 2015-2016 at the Asia Pacific Property Awards.
