Park Terraces marks a milestone in the Philippine architectural landscape as the first residential building to implement a base isolation structural system-a method of seismic protection where the structure is separated from the foundation or substructure. Designed by Architecture International as Design Architect in collaboration with Aidea as Lead Local Architect and Skidmore, Owings &
Merrill (SOM), this advanced technology significantly enhances structural integrity and resilience, ensuring the safety and comfort of residents. By integrating cutting-edge engineering with thoughtful design, Park Terraces sets a new standard for urban living—one that prioritizes both innovation and the long-term well-being of its community.
Park Terraces offers an extensive selection of amenities designed to enrich residents’ daily lives. A state-of-the-art fitness center, a serene swimming pool, and an interactive children’s play area are complemented by lush green spaces that provide a peaceful retreat from urban life. The tower’s pinnacle, the 60th floor, presents sweeping views of the Makati skyline, Laguna Bay, and Manila Bay.
Aidea led the conceptualization, design development, and contract documentation phases of Park Terraces, with a focus on interiors that inspire connection and a sense of belonging. The design process was deeply collaborative, engaging stakeholders to align the project with community aspirations and Ayala Land Premier’s commitment to enhancing urban living. Through iterative refinement, the resulting design balances aesthetic sophistication with functional practicality, creating spaces that embody both luxury and livability.
Park Terraces stands as a benchmark for urban residential developments, integrating thoughtful design and advanced building technologies to enhance residents’ quality of life. It is the first building in the country to utilize the unconventional Buckling Restrained Bracing (BRB) structural system. This approach eliminates the need for traditional beams, using only slabs, which allows for greater flexibility in utility placement and architectural design.
A key contributor to the project's success was Aidea's implementation of Building Information Modeling (BIM) across the design and documentation phases. BIM enabled precise coordination among disciplines, minimized construction conflicts, and ensured design intent was preserved throughout execution.
The digital workflow also allowed for accurate quantity takeoffs, efficient change management, and early clash detection, resulting in a streamlined and cost-effective construction process.
Through its thoughtful design, pioneering engineering, and advanced digital coordination, Park Terraces stands as a benchmark for residential development-an embodiment of Ayala Land Premier's commitment to enriching lives and transforming communities.
