A New Icon of Urban Innovation

SOCAR Tower, the headquarters of the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic, rises 209 meters above Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan and a historic crossroads of trade, culture, and energy. Designed in partnership with Heerim Architects & Planners, the tower draws inspiration from the natural forces that define the region—wind, fire, and energy.

Its fluid form echoes the powerful gusts that sweep across the Caspian Sea and the flickering flames of Azerbaijan’s famed natural gas reserves. SOCAR Tower stands as a national symbol, embodying the ambition of a country at the heart of the global energy industry. SOCAR Tower's iconic, twisting form rises from a dynamic podium housing office, conference, and leisure spaces.

Spanning 100,000 square meters across 42 floors, SOCAR Tower combines bold aesthetics with engineering precision. Its high-performance curtain wall withstands Baku’s harsh climate and seismic forces, while a podium of retail, guest, and recreational amenities creates a vibrant hub. Designed by Heerim Architects & Planners with Aidea as BIM partner, the project showcases the fusion of architectural vision and structural innovation. Aidea ensured buildability through advanced digital modeling, integrating complex systems into a cohesive, efficient structure. The tower’s composite frame—reinforced concrete core with steel floors and columns—delivers both resilience and flexibility, while its energy-efficient façade reduces environmental impact. As one of the tallest buildings in the Caucasus, SOCAR Tower embodies Azerbaijan’s ambition, its fluid form evoking the nation’s heritage of wind and fire.
